Employees who work on a scaffold must be trained by a person qualified to recognize the hazards associated with the type of scaffold used and to understand the procedures to control and minimize those hazards.

Members who have previously taken an 8 hour class may opt out of hands on activities and receive a 4 hour refresher.

(Note: it is the employers responsibility to designate a Competent Person and to ensure competency.)
